After Joey Logano’s recent Cup victory at Nashville, he will be filling in for Hailie Deegan in the No. 15 at AM Racing in the Xfinity Series Chicago Street Race this Saturday. Deegan has been struggling in her rookie Xfinity campaign, finishing 28th in the most recent race at Nashville and ranking 27th in points overall. She has consistently finished 25th or worse in 11 out of the 17 Xfinity races this season, with her best result being 12th at Talladega.

Wade Moore, the team president of AM Racing, expressed his team’s commitment to being competitive in the Xfinity Series through their technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing. Despite their lack of success in the first half of the season, they saw an opportunity to bring in Logano, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, to provide valuable knowledge and feedback to help the team’s growth.

Logano is among nine drivers scheduled to compete in both the Xfinity race and the Cup race at Chicago, alongside AJ Allmendinger, Kyle Larson, Ty Gibbs, John Hunter Nemechek, Austin Hill, Daniel Suarez, Shane van Gisbergen, and Josh Bilicki. Fans can catch the action with coverage of the Xfinity event starting at 3 p.m. ET on NBC
