JMU football is beginning to shape its 2025 recruiting class, with several notable additions to the team. First up on the offensive side of things, William “Trey” Dudley III, a running back from Virginia, has committed to JMU over some Group of Five teams, including Toledo and Old Dominion. Dudley is the first offensive player to join the class.

On the defensive side of things, Chris Fileppo, a linebacker from Pennsylvania, may not have been highly recruited by FBS schools initially, but he has since received offers from Purdue and West Virginia. At 6’3 and 215 lbs, Fileppo has the size and athleticism to become a quality college player.

Jerald James, a defensive end from Florida, had notable offers from schools like Maryland and SMU before committing to JMU after visiting. He provides valuable help on the edge for the team.

Kai Callen, a 3-star defensive back from Georgia, also chose JMU after his official visit in mid-June. He had offers from numerous FCS programs and chose JMU over UConn and Washington State.
