JetBlue recently announced a major policy change that will benefit all passengers, regardless of their ticket class. Starting September 6, all travelers, including those with economy class tickets, will be allowed to bring one free carry-on bag along with a personal item. This move comes at a time when many US-based airlines are moving towards charging passengers for various services and amenities.

The president of JetBlue, Marty St. George, stated that the decision to offer free carry-on bags to all customers is a response to evolving customer preferences and a way to improve the overall customer experience. This change is a win-win for both customers and the airline, as it helps JetBlue stay competitive in the industry while enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.

Prior to this policy change, only passengers with Blue and Blue Extra fares were allowed to bring a carry-on bag for free. Checked bags still require an additional $65 fee at any level. However, come this fall, all JetBlue customers will have the option to bring a complimentary carry-on bag, though they may be asked to check their luggage on crowded flights.

JetBlue aims to provide clear and transparent information to customers about their fare options and what is included with each choice. By offering a variety of fare options and great onboard service, the airline hopes to cater to a diverse spectrum of customers and remain a top choice for travelers seeking affordable and convenient air travel options.
