The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Jauan Jennings to a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2025 NFL season. Originally tendered as a restricted free agent with a one-year, $4.89 million contract this offseason, Jennings’ new contract is worth up to $15.4 million over the next two seasons, with $10.5 million guaranteed.

According to reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the deal was negotiated and confirmed by agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. Jennings, who did not sign his free-agent tender, is entering his fourth NFL season and has 78 total receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns in his previous three seasons. Last season, he caught 19 passes for 265 yards and one touchdown.

Jennings has been present for practice sessions this week after missing the team’s first week of organized team activities. He has been a valuable part of the 49ers’ offense, particularly on third downs, with 40 of his 78 career catches coming in those situations and 32 resulting in a first down. With Jennings’ extension secured, the 49ers still have important business to attend to this offseason in locking up fellow wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to a contract extension.
