The first quarter of the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans was dominated by both teams exchanging punts. However, it was the Jaguars who took an early lead, scoring a touchdown against the Titans during their second possession of the day.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence connected with wide receiver Calvin Ridley for a three-yard touchdown pass, giving the Jaguars a 7-0 lead with just under three minutes left in the first quarter. Despite a deflected extra point attempt by Brandon McManus, the Jaguars maintained their advantage over their opponents.

The Titans tried to gain momentum when wide receiver Chris Moore ran for 38 yards, advancing the ball into Jaguars territory. However, their drive was halted when quarterback Will Levis mishandled a snap, resulting in a fumble that was recovered by Foye Oluokon of the Jaguars. Oluokon’s impact was felt on the opening drive, as he also recorded a sack earlier in the game.

As the first quarter came to a close, it seemed that the Jaguars were dominating the matchup due to their early lead and strong defensive play by Oluokon.
