Jack Draper is set to face former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini in the upcoming final at the Stuttgart Open on Sunday. Draper, who defeated defending champion Frances Tiafoe in the quarter-finals, won the match against unseeded American Nakashima with an impressive display of serving and 35 winners.

Draper has reached his third ATP final of his career and his first on grass after a convincing win over Nakashima. He will be looking to make history and win his first singles title on the elite men’s tour. Despite losing to Berrettini in their only previous meeting, Draper believes he has a chance to come out on top this time around.

Berrettini secured a fast 6-4 6-0 win over compatriot Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-finals and acknowledged that he has never practiced with Draper before. However, he expressed his determination to win the final and mentioned that he had been studying Draper’s game closely. Berrettini has a strong record on grass courts and will be a formidable opponent for Draper.

Regardless of the outcome of the match, Draper is set to rise to 32nd in the world rankings and could potentially receive a seeded position for Wimbledon. He will also become the British number one, surpassing Cameron Norrie in the process. With just one more match to win his first singles title on the elite men’s tour, Draper faces a tough challenge but is determined to come out victorious.
