The second Urgent Care location at 482 S. Liberty Drive in Bloomington has been opened by IU Health, with the aim of expanding its services and better serving the healthcare needs of the local community in south-central Indiana. Mike Teague, IU Health South Central Region primary care service line medical executive, explained that Bloomington is a healthcare hub in the region, making it essential to provide convenient non-emergency care for minor medical concerns.

The Urgent Care facility caters to immediate but non-life-threatening issues such as minor illnesses, minor injuries, wellness, prevention screenings, occupational health services like injury treatment, testing, screenings, immunizations, exams for employees, and veteran services. This expansion comes at a time when students are leaving Bloomington but other programs continue to bring visitors to the city during the summer.

To schedule a visit or reserve a spot in the walk-in line on the official website. The westside office offers walk-in service and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays; as well as on holidays
