One alarming aspect of this situation is that 200 million euros earmarked for overcoming immigrant ghettos under the Pnrr have remained unused. This raises questions about why these funds were not utilized effectively and how they can be utilized more efficiently in the future to address this critical issue. Additionally, it is concerning that the appointment of extraordinary commissioner Prefect Maurizio Falco occurred two months later than required by decree 19/2024, further delaying any concrete action on this matter.
To hold the government accountable for its actions, a parliamentary inquiry will be conducted to investigate these delays and determine what steps can be taken to address them. It is crucial that concrete action is taken instead of just making symbolic gestures to address this serious issue facing Italy.
