Italian coach Francesco Farioli has been appointed as the new head coach of Ajax on a three-year contract, taking over from interim coach John van’t Schip. Farioli, 35, has previously managed Turkish clubs Fatih Karagumruk and Alanyaspor before joining Nice in July 2023. During his time at Nice, he led the team to a fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 in the 2023-24 season.
Farioli is excited to begin his new role at Ajax on June 11th and aims to reconnect with the club’s DNA and bring new energy to coaching with a positive approach. He understands that there is work to be done but is already preparing for the upcoming season. The Dutch fans are eagerly looking forward to Farioli’s leadership and vision as he aims to lead the club back to its former glory.
