In the first five months of 2024, Israel’s foreign trade data has been released by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The total imports of goods and services, excluding diamonds, amounted to $34.96 billion, which is a decrease of $2.99 billion compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, total exports totaled $22.97 billion, a decrease of $770 million compared to the same period last year.

Trade with Europe saw a significant decrease of $2.11 billion, primarily due to a drop in imports from EU countries. However, there was an increase in imports from countries like Cyprus, Romania, Denmark, Bulgaria, and Ireland. Additionally, imports from Sweden decreased by half.

In terms of exports, there was an increase in goods sent to countries like Belgium, Germany, Denmark
