The Israeli Embassy in the Russian Federation released a statement condemning the terrorist attacks in Dagestan, which resulted in numerous casualties. The embassy expressed its sympathy to the families of the victims and wished for a speedy recovery for the wounded. The statement called for the perpetrators to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. It emphasized the need for global unity against Islamic terrorism and extremism, which pose a significant danger to civilians.

Following the attacks, Dagestan’s head, Sergei Melikov, declared three days of mourning in the republic. All entertainment events were cancelled, and flags were flown at half-mast. The “counterterrorist operation regime” in Makhachkala and Derbent was lifted while information about the victims continued to be clarified. Reports revealed that individuals associated with the attacks included family members of local officials. An MMA fighter named Gadzhimurad Kagirov was among those neutralized in the operation.
