The Islanders were active on Monday afternoon as they signed winger Anthony Duclair to a four-year contract and re-signed defenseman Mike Reilly to a one-year deal. Duclair, who has been a pro for 10 seasons and played for eight different clubs, tallied 146 goals and 157 assists throughout his career. Last season, he scored 24 goals and added 18 assists in 73 games while playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks. He originally entered the league as a third-round pick of the Rangers in the 2013 NHL Draft.

On the other hand, Reilly, who is turning 31 this month, has also had a well-traveled career but is returning to Long Island for his second straight season with the Islanders. In his previous season with the team, he played in 59 games, scoring six goals with 18 assists while accumulating 28 penalty minutes and finishing with a +1 rating. Both players bring valuable experience and skill to the Islanders’ lineup and should make significant contributions to their success in the upcoming season.
