On Sunday, Prime Minister of Iraq, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, convened a special meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of the steel factory in Basra Governorate. This factory is part of the General Iron and Steel Company and has been facing delays and obstacles that have prevented its opening as planned two months ago. As a result, a special meeting was necessary to address these issues.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani was informed about the progress of the rehabilitation and operation of the project. He emphasized the importance of overcoming all obstacles and technical problems that were hindering the completion of the project. Al-Sudani urged for the installation of smelting equipment, systems, and production lines to be completed promptly.
