Ulas Karademir has been named as the new chief technical officer at IO Interactive, the studio behind Hitman and Project 007. After a seven-year absence, Karademir is returning to the studio where he had previously worked in various leadership roles before leaving for Unity and RealityOS. In his new position at IO Interactive, he will oversee technical operations and continue the development of the company’s Glacier engine, while also working closely with production teams on current projects like Project 007 and Project Fantasy.

Karademir expressed his excitement about rejoining IO Interactive and contributing to its upcoming titles. He praised the studio’s reputation for innovation, gameplay, and immersive worlds, stating his commitment to further elevating their standards. CEO Hakan Abrak welcomed Karademir back to the team, praising his experience, knowledge, and leadership skills. Abrak noted that since leaving IO Interactive, Karademir had successfully led teams at other companies and would bring a wealth of experience to his new role.

As IO Interactive continues to expand and develop new IPs, Karademir will play a key role in driving innovation within the company. With his expertise in technology and leadership, he will help ensure that the studio stays ahead of the curve in terms of technical advancements and game design.
