Inverness Caledonian Thistle chairman Ross Morrison has announced his resignation following the club’s relegation from the Scottish Championship. This decision comes after a controversial move to relocate their training base to Fife, which was met with fierce backlash from fans, former players, and coaches.

The club believed that moving their training base would help them attract players from the central belt region while also cutting down on accommodation costs. However, this decision threatened the club’s identity and was met with protests from over 200 fans who gathered for a meeting to express their concerns. Some even vowed not to purchase season tickets in response to the decision.

With Morrison stepping down as chairman, the future of the club’s full-time status and manager Duncan Ferguson is now in question. The decision to reverse the move may have significant implications for Inverness Caledonian Thistle as they attempt to rebuild and regain their place in the Scottish Championship.
