The Italian League recently announced that Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi has been named the Serie A coach of the season. Inzaghi, who led Inter to the Italian title, was praised for his excellent leadership and coaching abilities.
Inzaghi, at 48 years old, took over from Luciano Spalletti, who won the award last season with Napoli. The league did not reveal the voting tallies but stated that Inzaghi was the clear choice for the award. He was commended for leading Inter to have a great attack and defense, an impressive 28-game unbeaten run, and playing an exciting brand of football while maintaining compactness and solidity.
Inter is currently leading AC Milan by 19 points in the Serie A standings, with two games remaining in the season. Since Inzaghi’s arrival in 2021, Inter has won three Italian Supercups, two Italian Cups, and reached the final of the Champions League last season. Despite early exits in this season’s Champions League and Italian Cup, Inter dominated Serie A with 29 wins, six draws, and only two defeats.
Recently there has been a change in ownership at Inter Milan as US fund Oaktree took control of 99.6 per cent of the club’s capital from Chinese group Suning. However this did not affect ticket prices for next season’s matches at San Siro stadium where they will see an increase between 12 to 23 per cent
