Inter Milan midfielder Jacopo Martini is set to leave the club and join Serie B side Sudtirol, according to a report from Tuttosport via FCInterNews. The 19-year-old has been with Inter’s youth setup since 2020 when he joined the Under-18 team from Chievo Verona.

After spells with Inter’s Under-19 and Primavera teams, Martini had a successful season with the Primavera team, helping them win the championship under coach Christian Chivu. Last summer, Martini went on his first senior loan with Serie C side Foggia, where he spent the entire season competing in the third tier of Italian football.

Sudtirol is close to securing Martini’s services for the upcoming season. Several Serie B clubs had shown interest in Martini, but Sudtirol appears to have won the race for his signature with a season-long loan deal. Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin are back in Milan and working on finalizing loan deals for young players like Martini now that the sporting staff is back from the Euros.
