During Mental Health Awareness Month, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy compiled a list of various efforts being made by different entities to address the mental health crisis in America. This included actions taken by government agencies, private sector organizations, nonprofit groups, and academia.

Among the highlighted initiatives were the Biden administration’s mental health strategy and research priorities in the field of mental health. The Office of Science and Technology Policy also showcased projects outside of governmental agencies, such as an integrated behavioral health care training program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is providing training on integrated behavioral health to a variety of healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, residents, nurses, social workers, and more. The program aims to establish behavioral escalation response teams to better manage behavioral dysregulation and procedural anxiety.
