INSP, a Western-content focused and family-friendly cable network, has appointed two technology executives. John Rouda has been promoted to executive VP of technology, while Eric Edwards has been named VP of media logistics. Rouda, who has been with the Indian Land, South Carolina-based cable programmer since 2016 and was previously VP of technology, brings over 25 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to his new role. He also teaches part-time at Winthrop University and hosts the podcast A Geek Leader where he shares insights and mentors future tech leaders.

Rouda’s leadership has ensured that network operations remain adaptable, efficient and secure. With his expertise in automation, integration, and operational enhancement, he will oversee Edwards as they work together on content distribution to FAST, linear, and OTT digital channels. Edwards will now report to Rouda after joining INSP in 2018 from NBCUniversal where he was senior director of media operations. In this role, he implemented updated media workflows and designs in postproduction mastering digital restoration and digital distribution.

With these appointments INSP continues its commitment to technological advancement and innovation within the network. The family-friendly programming it offers appeals to a wide audience in approximately 47 million homes across the United States.
