The 2024 Scientific Research Student Conference, hosted by the Military Medical Academy, recognized projects that offer effective treatment solutions for widespread diseases like infectious diseases, liver diseases, anxiety disorders, and cancer. The conference, which took place on June 9, featured 84 topics presented by cadets and students from university systems affiliated with the academy.

During the conference, groups of authors shared their research findings and engaged in discussions with the expert council in various areas of medicine. The topics covered a wide range of subjects, from treatment options for patients with hearing loss to the prognostic value of arterial blood lactate concentration in individuals with multiple injuries. The focus was on addressing common diseases prevalent in the community.

Following the presentations, the expert council selected works with scientific and innovative merit and awarded prizes accordingly. Nine first prizes, ten second prizes, 18 third prizes, and 18 consolation prizes were given out to the winning groups at the conference.

Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Kien, the Director of the Military Medical Academy, emphasized the importance of the conference in evaluating the scientific research efforts of cadets and students. He stressed the significance of research activities in providing students with a more comprehensive education beyond the formal training program.
