The American Heart Association (AHA) has announced the winners of the AHA Dick Davidson NOVA Award for their hospital-led collaborative efforts to improve community health. The five winning programs are Resourceful at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minn., Beyond Violence at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, Calif., UH Food for Life Markets® at University Hospitals in Cleveland, TC Street Medicine at Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, Mich., and Forensic Health and Trauma Recovery Center Services at Palomar Health in Escondido, Calif.

Rick Pollack, president and CEO of the AHA, praised the winners for their commitment to improving community health through strong partnerships with other organizations. He emphasized on the exceptional services and programs offered by these hospitals and health systems that have adapted and evolved to meet the changing needs of their communities.

The 2024 winners will be recognized at the AHA’s Accelerating Health Equity Conference, which will take place from May 7-9 in Kansas City, Mo. This event will serve as an opportunity to showcase the innovative and impactful work being done by these award-winning programs in their communities.
