The College of Innovation & Technology at the University of Michigan-Flint recently held a project kickoff for phase one of their new Innovation and Technology Complex on June 13. In attendance were dignitaries such as UM-Flint Interim Chancellor Donna Fry, University of Michigan Regent Michael Behm, CIT Dean Christopher Pearson, Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley, and Mott Foundation Program Director Kimberly Roberson.

The complex features 14,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art instructional laboratories aimed at promoting collaboration and interdisciplinary research. These labs will support current STEM pathways and upcoming academic degrees in areas such as artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, human-centered design, and electrical & computer engineering.
