India’s triumph over Australia in St. Lucia has guaranteed their place in the semi-finals of this year’s T20 World Cup. As Group 1 champions, they will face off against Group 2 runners-up England in Guyana. Meanwhile, South Africa, who also won Group 1, will go up against either Australia, Afghanistan or Bangladesh in Trinidad.

In Group 1, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are currently vying for second place. While Australia currently holds the second spot, if they lose to Bangladesh in their upcoming match in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, they will advance to the semi-finals unless Bangladesh wins by a big enough margin to surpass Australia’s net run rate. For Afghanistan to qualify for the last four, they simply need to beat Bangladesh. The crucial match between these two teams will determine which team advances to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are set to take place on Thursday, with South Africa facing off against the team that finishes second in Group 1 and India taking on England. These matches will be held in Trinidad and Guyana respectively and can be streamed live on Sky Sports through NOW.
