ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers sustained a left hamstring injury during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics. As a result, he has been ruled out of Game 3 and there is uncertainty about his return for the rest of the series.
Wojnarowski stated on ESPN’s NBA Countdown that the Pacers are taking a cautious approach with Haliburton’s injury and are unlikely to rush him back to play. He referenced a previous situation involving OG Anunoby of the New York Knicks, who returned from injury prematurely in Game 7 against the Pacers and struggled to contribute effectively.
Haliburton has been a significant contributor for the Pacers in the playoffs, averaging 18.7 points, 8.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. However, his availability for the remainder of the series remains uncertain as the team prioritizes his long-term health and recovery.
