On Sunday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made a day-long visit to Doha, where he met with Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The meeting focused on various aspects of the bilateral relationship, including political, trade, investment, energy, technology, culture, and people-to-people ties. Additionally, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues, with a particular focus on the situation in Gaza.

During the meeting, Jaishankar expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed the greetings and warm wishes of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Prime Minister of Qatar. In February, Prime Minister Modi visited Qatar and held discussions with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, highlighting the historic and friendly relations between India and Qatar. Both countries share a commitment to regular exchange of high-level visits and cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
