During the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 clash between India and Australia, Axar Patel made an unbelievable catch that left fans and experts in awe. The catch came off the bat of Australia captain Mitchell Marsh, who was playing brilliantly until then. Marsh had smashed a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav towards deep square leg, where Axar was positioned. Despite being slightly late to react, Axar managed to grab the ball with his right hand, stunning everyone in the stadium. What made the catch even more remarkable was the fact that Axar, being a left-handed player, used his non-dominant hand to complete the catch.

In the same match, India continued their winning streak in the tournament by defeating Australia by 24 runs. This victory was fueled by an exceptional batting performance from captain Rohit Sharma and impressive bowling displays from Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav. Following the match, Rohit Sharma expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting the importance of executing plans and maintaining confidence in their abilities. He praised the team’s adaptability to the conditions and emphasized the significance of players fulfilling their roles effectively.

As they look ahead to facing England in the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma has emphasized that his team needs to maintain their consistent approach and not get distracted by tough opposition like England. He encouraged his players to play freely while sticking to their game plan to continue their successful run in this tournament.

During India’s unsuccessful match against Pakistan earlier this year at home ground Lahore International Cricket Stadium (LICS), it was a remarkable performance from both sides as they played without any crowd due to security concerns.

India won only one wicket for 97 runs before Pakistan reached a total of 166/8 on first innings.

Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik led his side with a stunning batting display as he hit four sixes in an over bowled by Mohammed Shami for 33 runs.

The second innings saw Pakistan score another 97 runs before India declared themselves all out on 51/8 after eight overs.

However, despite failing to win this crucial match against Pakistan at home ground LICS, Rohit Sharma remained confident that they can still make it through as they have been playing well throughout this season so far.
