IDF Investigation Finds No Danger to Aid Workers in Humanitarian Route Strike

The IDF conducted an investigation following a report of gunfire near World Food Program workers along the Humanitarian Route from the Kerem Shalom Crossing. It was found that Israeli forces neutralized two gunmen who posed a threat to troops in the area. However, no danger was posed to the aid workers as the gunmen were not close to the UN team during the strike. The IDF emphasized that the UN workers were not the target of the operation and were unharmed as a result of the military’s strike on terrorist operatives.

In a separate incident in the Al Mawasi area, Palestinian reports mentioned casualties, but according to an initial inquiry, there was no direct attack carried out by the IDF against a Red Cross facility. The IDF stated that they are looking into reports of a shooting incident and will share their findings with Israel’s partners and international officials.

The IDF highlighted efforts made to avoid harming aid workers, UN facilities, and international organizations in the Gaza Strip. They emphasized that protecting these entities during operations is crucial for ensuring their safety and avoiding any potential harm to innocent people caught up in crossfire.
