Switzerland and Hungary are set to face off in Cologne in the first round of Group A fixtures. Both teams are looking to start their tournament on a positive note. As the match got underway, it was Switzerland that initially dominated possession, with Kwadwo Duah taking an early lead for his country just 12 minutes into the game. Despite this, Hungary had their chances, with Willi Orban missing a great opportunity by heading straight into the goalkeeper’s arms.

Hungary came out better in the second half but still lacked quality in their gameplay. They managed to pull one back through Barnabas Varga’s header, bringing them back into the game. Despite squandering some set pieces, Hungary continued to push for an equalizer. In the end, it was Dominik Szoboszlai’s cross that found Varga again and he made no mistake as he scored Hungary’s second goal of the game.
