To arrive at these predictions, data from Euro 2021 to present was used by the researchers. They analyzed goals scored by each team and simulated matches 100,000 times using the Poisson method. This allowed them to estimate the probability of victory for each team in the upcoming tournament. In addition to France, England, Germany, and Spain were also found to have favorable odds of winning according to their simulations.
The study includes an interactive graph that shows how the probabilities of each team vary throughout the tournament.
