Houston has secured a significant victory on the recruiting front by landing one of the top overall recruits in the class of 2026. Keisean Henderson, a four-star athlete from Spring (Texas) Legacy School of Sports Sciences, has committed to his hometown program. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 185 pounds, Henderson has chosen to play quarterback for the Cougars. In his sophomore season, he recorded 1,574 yards and 21 touchdowns with a stellar completion rate of 63 percent.
Henderson cited the feeling of being at home and the strong connections he has with the people at Houston as key factors in his decision to commit to the Cougars. The program, now in its second year as a member of the Big 12 conference, is on the rise under the leadership of new head coach Willie Fritz. Henderson received a tremendous amount of support from the coaching staff during his recruitment, with a focus on building the program around him and securing talented players to complement his skills.
