Five Hope College student-athlete teams have been chosen for the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. The program recognizes softball Academic All-District® honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Some recipients, like Vermeesch, may advance to the Academic All-America® ballot. The first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later in the summer.
Vermeesch, from Ithaca, Michigan, had a career-high nine victories this season with a 2.07 ERA over 91.1 innings pitched. Adams, from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, made 18 appearances and had a 5-1 record with a 3.99 ERA over 45.2 innings pitched. Martin
