Barrow have secured the signing of goalkeeper Wyll Stanway from Chester for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old, who previously played for England C, impressed with 19 clean sheets in 46 appearances in the National League North last season, contributing to Chester’s 10th place finish.

Stanway expressed his excitement about joining his hometown club, stating that the move happened quickly but he is thrilled to have it finalized. He is looking forward to being a part of the club’s progress and can’t wait to begin playing for Barrow.

The initial contract with Stanway is for two years, with the option for an extension included in the deal. This provides both the player and the club with flexibility moving forward.
