Joey Logano secured his second career pole at Sonoma Raceway, setting a new track record for the repaved road course. This marks Logano’s first pole at Sonoma since 2011 and his third pole on a road course. With a lap of 97.771 mph, Logano claimed the top starting position for Sunday’s race. Tyler Reddick will start in the second position after a lap of 97.661 mph.

In addition to the strong showing from Logano, other Hendrick Motorsports drivers also performed well. All four Hendrick Motorsports cars made it to the final round of qualifying following a tough showing last week where no cars made it to the final round. William Byron will start sixth, while Alex Bowman will start eighth for Hendrick Motorsports. Defending race winner Martin Truex Jr. will start 21st after a lap of 96.804 mph.

The Cup race is scheduled to begin at 3:50 p.m. ET on Sunday, with two Australian Supercars drivers set to make their Cup debut – Will Brown starting 24th for Richard Childress Racing and Cam Waters starting 31st for RFK Racing – showcasing the competitive nature of the series as they look forward to taking on some of the most skilled drivers in NASCAR history at this iconic road course track located just north of San Francisco Bay Area in California
