The Cecilia Civic Center in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana has been designated as a natural disaster outreach center for residents who need financial assistance to rebuild their homes and businesses. Corey Williams from the Small Business Administration explained that their goal is to offer a comprehensive disaster recovery service in one convenient location.

Residents who have experienced physical damage, home disasters or economic loss due to severe storms are eligible for assistance through this program. A customer service representative will guide individuals through the fact sheet, which outlines repayment terms, credit history requirements, interest rates and eligible loan amounts.

Homeowners may receive up to $500,000 to repair damaged real estate and an additional $100,000 for personal property repairs. Business owners and private non-profit organizations can apply for loans of up to $2 million. Williams emphasized the importance of applying early to speed up the process of receiving financial aid.

The application process for homeowners and renters typically takes 7 to 10 days, while businesses with less complex structures may receive a decision within 10 to 14 days. The outreach center will open its doors on Monday and provide access to disaster declaration application forms for those in need of assistance.
