In the first round of the men’s World Cup, Finland’s Tuomas Heikkilä has taken the lead with 140 points after finishing third in the Knock-Out Sprint on Saturday and second in the sprint on Sunday. Switzerland’s Natalia Gemperle and Simona Aebersold are tied for first in the women’s division with 160 points each.

Heikkilä had a strong performance, securing second place in the sprint on Sunday and following up with a third place finish in the Knock-Out final on Saturday. Gustafsson, from Sweden, secured second place on Saturday and fourth place on Sunday, trailing Heikkilä by 10 points. Emil Svensk of Sweden is currently in third place with 122 points, while Joey Hadorn of Switzerland is following closely behind with 117 points. Martin Regborn of Sweden is rounding off the top six with 110 points and Timo Suter of Switzerland is in seventh with 69 points.

In the women’s division, Gemperle won Sunday’s sprint and finished third in the Knock-Out final on Saturday. Aebersold secured two second-place finishes during this weekend’s races. Tove Alexandersson, a nine-time World Cup winner, is currently in third place with 137 points after winning Saturday’s Knock-Out race and finishing seventh on Sunday. There is a 55-point difference between Alexandersson and fourth-placed Hanna Lundberg, who has 82 points after finishing fifth in both races this weekend. Andrine Benjaminsen of Norway and Ida Agervig Kristiansson of Denmark are tied for fifth place with 75 points each after finishing eighth and tenth respectively this weekend.

In the Team World Cup standings, Sweden is slightly ahead of Switzerland, with Norway following closely behind them as France takes fourth place while Finland sits at fifth position. The next round will take place in Genoa Italy featuring a sprint race on Saturday followed by a sprint relay on Sunday both races can be watched live on IOF TV & IOF LIVE
