Recent health issues linked to mushroom products designed for microdosing have prompted Arizona poison centers to issue a warning. The Banner Poison and Drug Information Center confirmed cases of seizures, unconsciousness, and other health problems among individuals who consumed these products from California retailer Diamond Shruumz. Despite claims of natural ingredients and the absence of scheduled drugs, these toxic mushroom infused chocolate bars and gummies have serious health consequences that can lead to hospitalization.

The affected products are available for sale online and in various stores throughout Arizona. Maureen Roland, director of the Banner Poison and Drug Information Center in Phoenix, emphasized the importance of exercising extreme caution when using these products due to their potentially severe effects. Health care professionals are being urged to report any cases involving these mushroom-infused products by calling 1-800-222-1222.

Microdosing involves taking small amounts of a substance to achieve the desired benefits with minimal adverse effects. However, recent incidents show that even small amounts can have severe consequences on an individual’s health. Similar cases have been reported in Nebraska, Indiana, and Utah, indicating a broader impact beyond Arizona. Therefore, it is crucial for individuals to be vigilant and avoid consuming these mushroom-infused products to protect their health and well-being.
