The Florida Department of Health has issued a water quality advisory for Palma Sola South, located on the east end of the Palma Sola Causeway and the south side of Manatee Ave West. Recent tests conducted on Monday and Wednesday showed that the water at this location does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

Regular water quality monitoring has shown that the level of bacteria in the water exceeds state guidelines, prompting DOH-Manatee to advise against any water-related activities at Palma Sola South. This advisory will remain in place until bacteria levels are within acceptable health standards.
