Two American inline speed skaters, Sadna Ganesan and Jaelyn Godin, are set to represent Team USA at the World Championships in Italy this September. Both skaters train at Interskate 91 South in Wilbraham, where they dedicate 20 hours a week to preparing for this prestigious event.

During practice, the skaters expressed their excitement for the opportunity to compete at such a high level. Sadna shared her intense training schedule, which includes skating every day with only one rest day per week. Jaelyn expressed her eagerness for the experience, as this will be her first time competing at the World Championships and she looks forward to representing the USA.

Their coach highlighted the girls’ drive and work ethic as key factors in their success. From practicing on city roads before school to training in the rink, they are dedicated to putting in the work, win or lose. The skaters shared that they run 10 miles to school and 10 miles back each day in preparation for this event.
