William’s Elementary School in Jonesville recently held its annual Science and Math night on April 25. The event attracted hundreds of students and their families who gathered to enjoy pizza and engage in a variety of STEM activities.
These activities focused on science, technology, engineering, and math and were set up throughout the school building with support from the community, teachers, and students in the National Honor Society. One of the highlights of the night was the hands-on experiences provided by Camp Michindoh, where attendees got to interact with several different species of animals. This interactive station was a big hit with everyone in attendance.
The Jonesville Middle and High School robotics teams also made a significant contribution to the event by showcasing their robots and coding skills. The Science and Math night aims to bring families together in an educational environment outside of the regular classroom setting. It provides an opportunity for students to explore and learn in a fun and engaging way. Over the years, this annual event has been enjoyed by thousands of Jonesville students, sparking their creativity and imagination.
