In an Instagram post, Halsey shared updates with her followers about her new album that starts with “The End.” The singer, who uses she/they pronouns, also expressed their desire to have a fresh start at 30 and not be ill. To achieve this, Halsey gave herself two more years “to be sick” before focusing on feeling better, looking great, and having abundant energy to enjoy her 30s.

Halsey’s post included a series of short video clips where they are seen sitting down and rubbing their legs continuously. In one of the videos, Halsey mentions giving themselves two more years “to be sick.” They express their desire to have a fresh start at 30 and not be ill, instead, focusing on feeling better, looking great, and having abundant energy to enjoy their 30s.

Many fans took to social media to show support for Halsey, especially those who are also dealing with chronic illnesses. Although Halsey did not specify her condition in the post, they tagged the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in it. The video also shows Halsey going through treatment, wearing a mask and saying “treatment day one.” Other shots show them in emotional states, wearing a headscarf, and receiving medical treatment.

In the past, Halsey had revealed receiving multiple diagnoses after the birth of her child in 2021. She had shared that she was allergic to many things. In 2019, she also disclosed living with bipolar disorder, a condition diagnosed when she was 17. Her openness about her health struggles has garnered support and admiration from many fans.
