In August, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to star in a new Hallmark Channel movie titled “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” The film’s production is already underway, with Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, and Ed Begley Jr. among the cast. Filming will take place in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Executive Vice President of Programming, Lisa Hamilton Daly, expressed excitement about the collaboration between Hallmark and the Chiefs. Both organizations are known for their values, tradition, and community involvement.

“Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” follows Alana Higman (played by King), who wants to enter her family into a contest for the biggest Chiefs fan. Derrick (played by Hynes) is the Director of Fan Engagement for the Chiefs, responsible for judging the contestants. As they spend time together, a connection forms between Alana and Derrick, leading Alana to contemplate the role of fate in their meeting. While it hasn’t been confirmed which Chiefs players will appear in the film, it will feature scenes filmed at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the team’s home turf.

Earlier this year, the Chiefs released a spoof movie trailer mimicking Hallmark Christmas films with Hynes in a different role. This upcoming movie promises to blend the warmth of Hallmark storytelling with the excitement of professional football while showcasing the community spirit and traditions of Kansas City in a comforting and uplifting way.
