Jets pass rusher Haason Reddick was acquired in a trade with the Eagles in March, and he expressed his happiness regardless of his contract status. However, despite being present at the Jets’ Organized Team Activities (OTAs), which are voluntary, Reddick has been absent from all offseason work that was open to the media.

Reddick signed a three-year contract with the Eagles in 2022, which included a $15 million salary for this season. Although none of his salary is guaranteed, he would not want to take any actions that could potentially lead to the Jets cutting him. The Jets are hopeful that Reddick can continue to be a force on the field for them in the upcoming season, as he has recorded impressive sack totals in previous seasons with the Cardinals, Panthers, and Eagles.

Rich Cimini of ESPN reported that Reddick missed all of the offseason work that was open to the media when the Jets traded for him. While Reddick has not confirmed that his absence is contract-related, there is speculation that he may be seeking a new deal. The team’s mandatory minicamp is set to begin on June 11, and it remains to be seen whether Reddick will be present for that event.
