The Guess Anti-Bullying Foundation, located in Paducah, has a long history of creating murals with messages about kindness. However, the organization is now shifting its focus to promoting suicide prevention. This change comes after the recent anniversary of Susan Guess’s brother’s suicide, which inspired the creation of two new murals. These murals will be painted on the Fifth Street side of Four Rivers Behavioral Health, a sponsor of the project and a provider of mental health services in the area.

Susan Guess emphasized the importance of supporting mental health and crisis prevention. The upcoming murals will feature a message about the suicide and crisis line, reminding people that help is always available 24/7 by calling or texting 9-8-8. Sponsors of the mural include Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital, Four Rivers Behavioral Health, and the Paducah Flower Company. In addition to raising awareness about suicide prevention, the foundation aims to support those who have lost loved ones to suicide by inviting them to participate in painting a portion of the mural as a way to heal and remember.

Those interested in supporting the work of the Guess Anti-Bullying Foundation can visit their website at GuessAntiBullying.com. Through their murals and community outreach, the foundation continues to spread important messages of kindness and mental health support.
