Google has announced the delivery of 10,000 educational scholarships in Argentina for its new course on Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals and Career Certificates. These scholarships aim to contribute to training in digital skills and enhance employability. The scholarships are awarded in collaboration with Fundación Compromiso, Fundación Pescar, Junior Achievement, Comunidad IT, and Civic House to reach a wide range of communities in the country.
Since 2022, Google has been running a scholarship program in Argentina that has already delivered 12,000 scholarships. The purpose of these scholarships is to bridge the digital skills gap and provide certifications in competencies that are highly sought after in the industry, such as AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Technology Support, Project Management, Data Analysis, and User Experience Design.
Google aims to democratize access to technology by offering these scholarships. In addition to the existing courses on Coursera and edX platforms, Google has recently launched a new course on AI called “AI Fundamentals” which is designed to teach the basics of AI and best practices associated with its use and development. This course will help more people get closer to jobs of the future.
Classes for this new AI course are taught by Google AI specialists who work to make this technology accessible to everyone. Students can complete the course in less than 15 hours and will learn basic AI skills and tools for implementation and development. This course is now available on Coursera online platform which provides flexibility for students to learn at their own pace.
The Google Career Certificates complements this new AI course; they last approximately six months are designed for people who already have employment or other obligations due to their online nature. Upon completing the programs
