A GoFundMe has been established for the family of the child who perished in a fiery crash on the Capital City Freeway in California, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The CHP confirmed that the female child was pulled from the wreckage along State Route 51 near Watt Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The vehicle driven by a man in his 30s crashed into a pole, becoming fully engulfed in flames following the accident. Images taken by a FOX40 News member at the scene show plumes of smoke rising by the roadway sign indicating the distance for Fulton Avenue, Auburn Boulevard, and Marconi Avenue exits.

Despite initial reports suggesting that drugs and alcohol may have contributed to the crash, the CHP later clarified that there was no evidence to support this claim. The agency also stated that while the driver sustained pain complaints, he did not require hospitalization. It is now up to those who would like to donate to support the family of the deceased child via GoFundMe, which can be found here.
