Wes Foderingham, a goalkeeper who helped Rangers win the Scottish Championship in 2015-16, has signed a two-year contract with West Ham. He will officially join the club on July 1st after his contract at Bramall Lane expires. Last season, Foderingham made 30 appearances for Sheffield United as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Foderingham expressed his excitement about joining West Ham, praising the club’s passionate fanbase and positive trajectory. This move marks his departure from Sheffield United after four seasons, having previously played for Rangers, Swindon, Crystal Palace, and Fulham. He is West Ham’s second signing under new manager Julen Lopetegui, following Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.

Tim Steidten, West Ham’s technical director, welcomed Foderingham to the team. He highlighted the goalkeeper’s experience and success at the highest levels of the game. Foderingham will join goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero in supporting Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski, providing valuable depth and competition in the goalkeeping department for West Ham.
