Girls 4 Science, an organization dedicated to empowering young girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), is excited to announce the launch of its Summer Saturday STEM Academy focused on Mechanics. This program is specifically designed for girls aged 10-18, providing them with hands-on experiences in a variety of STEM disciplines to cultivate a passion for learning and innovation.

Through workshops and interactive experiments, participants will have the opportunity to nurture their creative abilities and scientific curiosity. The Girls 4 Science Saturday STEM Academy aims to address the gender gap in STEM fields by creating a supportive environment where girls can explore their interests and enhance their skills.

Jackie Lomax, Founder and Executive Director of Girls 4 Science, believes that every girl has the potential to succeed in STEM. With the Saturday STEM Academy, the organization is equipping young girls with the necessary tools, resources, and encouragement to excel in these fields and become future innovators and leaders.

The Saturday STEM Academy will focus on the theme of manufacturing and cover a wide range of topics. Experienced instructors and STEM professionals will lead the sessions, offering personalized guidance and practical insights into real-world STEM concepts. The Summer session of the Saturday STEM Academy will start in July, running every Saturday from July 6, 2024, to August 10, 2024. Participation is free for all interested individuals, and the program will be hosted at Malcolm X College
