A man was found dead after crashing his vehicle into a business in Gilbert on Tuesday morning, according to police. The incident occurred at the intersection of Ray and Cooper roads around 10 a.m. when officers responded to a private property crash.

Gilbert Police spokesperson Levi Leyba confirmed the driver had a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased driver has not yet been released, but the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported from the incident. The vehicle involved in the crash could be seen driven almost fully into Dragon Wok, a Chinese restaurant located on the southeast corner of the intersection. No other damage or destruction was caused by the accident.
