The Cuba Circulating Library is hosting a variety of exciting events for all ages in the upcoming week. On July 10, at 1:00 pm, the library will be hosting an interactive STEM workshop called “The Adventure of the Lost Treasure”. During this workshop, participants can engage in science experiments that bring the story to life.

For those interested in nature and foraging, the library is also hosting a Wild Mushroom Hike on July 13 at Bush Hill State Forest. This event includes a guided foray and mushroom identification hike led by NYSOGA licensed hiking guides. Participants will learn about mushroom anatomy, habitat, and species identification during the 1-2 hour hike. The guides, Sam Warren and Brandon Miller, both have NY Wild Mushroom Safety Certifications and over 25 years of combined foraging experience.

Both events are free to attend but registration is required due to limited space. For more information or to register, contact the Cuba Library at (585)968-1668, email cuba@stls.org or message them on Facebook. These events are funded by a grant from United Way of Cattaraugus and Allegany County. Don’t miss out on these fun and educational events taking place at the Cuba Circulating Library!
