Getty Images, in collaboration with Netflix and the International Olympic Committee, has announced the production of three new sports series that will provide viewers with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024. These shows are Simone Biles: Rising, Olympic Men’s Basketball, and Sprint.

Simone Biles: Rising will focus on the journey of gymnast Simone Biles as she prepares for her return to the Olympic stage after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to prioritize her mental health. The series will showcase her rebuilding process and her preparation for the upcoming competition. Part 1 is set to premiere in July before the Paris games, consisting of four episodes and produced by Religion of Sports in collaboration with the Olympic Channel. Executive producers include Gotham Chopra, Ameeth Sankaran, Giselle Parets, and Janey Miller, with Kate Walsh directing.

Olympic Men’s Basketball will be a six-episode series following medal contenders and aspiring athletes in men’s basketball as they compete in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and the qualifying events leading up to it. The show is produced by Higher Ground Productions and the Olympic Channel, with executive producers including Connor Schell, Libby Geist, Aaron Cohen, Jason Hehir, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Vinnie Malhotra, and Ethan Lewis. The series is led by showrunner Jake Rogal and is expected to premiere in early 2025.

Sprint will delve into the world of top sprinters during both Season 1 (6 episodes) and Season 2 (4 episodes), featuring athletes like Sha’Carri Richardson
